À la carte takes its motto “Delicacies from a World of Music” from the concert hall to the theater stage.

À la carte On Stage

~ It could be opera ~

~ It could be dance ~

~ It could be musical melodrama ~

~ It could be world music ~

~ It could be from other musical styles or cultures ~

~ It could be something we’ve not thought of yet! ~

Any genre, culture, epoch and style will be considered.  If it is good music, good theater and interesting to our public, we’ll put it on.   And we’ll keep it free to the public.

~ Expect to be surprised ~

~ Expect to be delighted ~

~ Expect to be entertained ~

~ Expect to be enlightened ~

~ Expect to experience something new ~

We receive technical and promotional support from the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Eastern Music Festival and North Carolina Central University

For our first venture in stage productions, we present a chamber opera by female composer Louise Talma, and a Biblical monodrama for actor, improvised cello and electronic audio and visuals by Minneapolis-based composer Craig Harris.

We need your financial support.  Putting music before the public for free requires money.  Anything for the stage costs substantially more.  We have the technical support of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Eastern Music Festival, Triad Stage and the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro,.  Through their assistance in promotion, equipment, advise and administration, we restrict our financial needs to the most important aspect, the performers and the performance.

Every contribution goes to putting music on the stage.  We are not compensated for their direction: for us, it is a labor of love and a service to the community.  Working musicians, actors and dancers do need to be paid.  This is where your money will go.
